Anybody ever put grooves in there G-10 handle knives?? I was wondering if it helped any with the grip. It can't be too hard, well I imagine its hard to keep the grooves straight, but I could make a template for that. Any info would help. Thanks.

I have grooved a lot of G-10, it cuts very clean and grooves nicely. I cheat and use a milling machine but have filed it with good results. Use sharp tool and take your time and you will like the results.

Mr. Simonich,
Thanks for the info. I was thinking of using my Dremel Tool on my G-10 knives. Now I need to check with Benchmade to make sure I won't void my warranty.

Mark it out .. Then take a dremal with a cut off wheel and groove it to keep the grooves straight . Then a chain saw file will finish it up and a little sand paper..

Mr. Ralph,
Thank you for the info also. I still haven't decided if I want to try it or if it would even help. I have a mini-Stryker, and I'm not sure if grooves in the G-10 would help the grip retention. Maybe if it was a full sized Stryker. I don't know. Once again, Thanks.
