Ground down blade

I saw a Buck at a pawn shop for $6.00. Only the tip must have broken off the blade because it was ground down about an inch. Would this be covered by Buck's warrenty?

You can ask them, but I would be surprised. For 35.00 you can send it in and get an ATS-34 or BG-42 blade put in and would still have a heck of a price.
