I saw Hunter's post on the "other forum" about a new, deep-pocket carry clip from KnifeKits.com that he put on his Maxx and wondered if there was enough interest for a group buy. Shipping is $8 for a $4 clip, so I wasn't going to buy just one.

Post here if you are interested and how many clips you'd like. They shouldn't be any more than $5/clip after KnifeKits.com's shipping and USPS First Class mail.

Here is the link to the KnifeKits.com page:

Attached is a picture of a CUDA Maxx Stilletto with the clip. (Thanks goes to Hunter for the pics)

Can you link me to the thread? TIA
EDIT: nm, found it. :)

One clip, right?

I had one of the first Ralph MADD MAXX's to be made and this is the type of clip that it came with. Even though it is a little bit harder to draw the knife it places the knife entirely in your pocket, whether you are wearing jeans or slacks with slash pockets. The overall length of the designer clip is also shorter than the clip that the Maxx comes with and that is a plus from a covert carry p.o.v.

The clip is polished and I was having a little bit of diffuculty drawing my Aftermath from my pocket. I solved this with a small strip of 3M stair tread tape that I cut out to fit the clip. After using some 100 grit sandpaper to rough up the surface I just applied the tape and it has worked super over the weekend. I've used this 3M stuff before and it really, really sticks and stays put. It comes in a medium gray color and blends in with the grayed areas on my Cuda Aftermath real well. Should look alright on the MAXX also.

Art, I'm a bit confused (tho if asked, my loved ones would say VERY confused) about the benefit of the stair tread which I think is grippy. What was the problem of drawing the blade due to?
Did you put the 3m grippy so that your hand touched the grippy surface or was the grippiness on the pants side?

Hi TOB, yeah I could be a member of that club! I put on the outside of the clip so that it makes it easier to draw the knife out. My finger was not getting a real good purchase on the clip so this solved the problem. Btw, I had polished the some more from the way it came and as I think back on it I believe it was more of a satin finish than a polished finish.

Man, being confused, is SO confusing!! :)

wait -- TOB9595 has got me thinking. do i want 2? if the clip is wicked-durable, i'll just go with one. artsig1, is this the very same clip you use? is it any flimsier than the original one? should i bother buying more than 1?

Very strong and durable. The only problem you might run into with one and switching back and forth would be the possibility of "wallowing" the screw heads. At the price they are going for it is a TERRIFIC deal!

Seven. We are getting closer.

Unless we start getting a load of people interested, I'm going to cut it off when we get to ten. That is the first price break from KnifeKits.com.

I'm ordering more than one because I think it'll fit at least one other knife and if not I'll adapt it to hold a phone to my dash or somethin?
:) :)
