hey, Steven. the clip came in today!!! thanks so much! just a small question:

what is the extra spacer for? is that for a knife other than the CUDA? where do attach it? thanks for any insight, folks. Darrel, if you're around, maybe you can shed some light on this.

nevermind, i just kinda shut up and took the old clip off. screwed the new one on (sans that extra spacer), and sewed 'er back up. looks and rides GREAT!!!

I got a couple more SASE's in. I'll get them out ASAP.

FYI, the small piece is so you can use the knife without a clip and keep the lock in place.
 
If anyone wants the info on this email me.I just saw a Cuda Max 5.5 D2 in a store today for 121.00.
 
Hmmm....but what's the point? People can't tell how big the Maxx is by the half inch that shows above the pocket. :confused:
 
But you can see those wide flippers and for me I would rather not be asked to show the knife to someone who is curious about those flippers. With the deep carry clip the whole knife rides down in the pocket. The deep carry clip is shorter than the original clip and it really does look like a fountain pen in your pocket. With the clothes I wear the knife itself is so thin that it does not print.

Before you ask what I would do if someone asks to see my pen? I just tell them it ran out of ink and hand them the one in my shirt pocket!!:eek: :cool: :D
 
Being the impatient guy I am, I went ahead an ordered one on my own. I'm thinking it might look good on a Halo III. Got a friend who is a gunsmith that could drill/tap the back side of the handle for me and I have experience with the guts of these knives.
