. To clear things up, it was a “conversation” and not a “thread.” Regardless, you would assume a moderator with you “experience” would do some cleaner investigative work before accusing me of libel and stating I should be ignored.
Let’s be clear,
groveinthedark
has yet to respond to this thread or any of our conversations. He has, however, been active on the board since the day he claimed the knife for sale. He has viewed the messages I’ve sent him and has ignored them. Interestingly enough he also attempted to claim 1 other knife and jump in line on another sales thread that same day.
I don’t have access to the “time stamps” but I remember he claimed the other zaan 1 minute before claiming the one on my thread.
Now, I don’t know about the folks that buy from you

, however in my limited experience when you claim a knife on a thread, it’s customary to contact the seller in a timely fashion. This never happened. I contacted him. He viewed the message (which I can’t prove since the time stamp shows only the most recent view), however didn’t respond.
But let’s rewind to July, when he contacted me for another knife I was selling. He sent me a low ball offer, I said no, and he contacted me again and again after I had asked him to stop. Regardless of what people may say, contacting someone after they tell you to leave them alone is considered “harassment.”
So 2 months pass and as I’m looking through my messages I stumble upon my old chat with
groveinthedark
. At the time I had an Impinda for sale and I thought maybe that was more in his wheelhouse for price. So I contacted him and asked him if he wanted it. Short conversation, ended amicably, no harm.
On 10/20 I put the zaan up for sale. He claimed it and never contacted me. Given my history with him I contacted him and asked if he really wanted the knife. Despite viewing the message, he never responded in a timely fashion.
1 day later he finally responded to me “which one?” I assume this was because I messaged him on the same initial thread that was created in July. So I promptly responded to him, linked him to the thread from the previous day that he claimed the knife, and received nothing/no response in return. Meanwhile, the time stamps show that he viewed the message. I also created a new message, to avoid confusion. He viewed that thread as well, and never responded.
If there was an emergency I would completely understand. If he doesn’t like me or had changed his mind, I understand. But there was NO COMMUNICATION DESPITE HIM BEING ACTIVE ON THE BOARD.

I wouldn’t be offended if you ignored me on the buy/sell front. No problem for me. But there’s no reason for members with common sense to heed your advice. This week I was a buyer and seller on this platform. Since I can’t post more than 10 images on this thread, please feel free to check my latest feedback from 10/25.
