Just completed this one and it was very difficult doing the scrimshaw on the Fossil Walrus Tusk socket piece because of the shape and contour of the tusk piece. Took a lot longer than expected. Anyway its done and maybe some of you on the forums will like it. I do all my own scrimshaw and its all done free hand with NO transfer of anything onto the piece I am scrimshawing. Knife specs are below.
KOL ; 8 inches
Blade; Flat ground ATS34 steel hand sanded to 600 grit with a polished spine.
Handle; Fossil Walrus ivory tusk tip stabilized. My scrimshaw of a growling Grizzly Bear. Tang is attached to a Mosaic pin on the bottom of the handle and epoxied.Guard is hand carved from a piece of black extruded acrylic.
Display; Display is a piece of Fossil Walrus ivory tusk socket that I scrimshawed a growling Grizzly looking up at the knife. It all sits on a beautiful piece of Sycamore Maple with a black felt bottom.
Asking $SOLD$ which includes free shipping in the USA via USPS Priority Mail. Paypal will work for payment at R2D2Fly@charter.net . Thanks to all for taking a look and comments are always appreciated. Thanks
