FWIW - I've had a 10 for a few years and it's a BEAST, especially when you attach a lanyard to the choil. It really becomes a "wilderness lightsaber".
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOSYPIC88k8 Though I would disagree with his assessment of it not being a great chopper when using a lanyard in the pommel. Maybe it's the gloves he's wearing but I've not had to reset my grip. I've chopped 2" to 4" 20+ year old vines choking one of my trees with it and it went through the hard vines like butter. I've also hacked into a stump and was shocked at how far into the stump the blade went. It's also a great batoning tool and does a great job striping bark. I've also used it to plane wood. Anyway, If you can't wait for the new ones get one of the older ones. You won't be disappointed.
