GSO 4.7 Factory Second

Nice score! I just tried my luck and got a 20cv in my cart, but the other two steels were unavailable. I'm not currently in the market, so I didn't check out. I bet there will be some pretty happy campers though.

I actually went back after completing my order and was still able to add a 20CV to my cart just to see but didn't go ahead and finish it out.

I scored a factory second 4.7 in 3v!! Congrats on yours!!

I got a 3V too....Apparently there weren't many....Gone in a few minutes!

Saw there were Necker II'S available but were gone after I finished my 4.7 in the 3V while there were still 4.7 20CV'S left

I knew I'd be pushing it as Mondays are my delivery route days at work and I get back late. Tried for one about 25 minutes after the hour and was way too late. Come on GSO 4.7 firsts!!! :D

Congrats to those of you who scored!! And if you get 'em soon, pics please!

I tried to get the 3v but sold out right at the final step of my checkout ... but then was able to snag a 20cv. I only have other gso's in 3v.. so this will be my first 20cv. sound's like the blades are stout enough though to hold up well against abuse so I should be ok..

Hello Ellie!

"These Factory 2nds have been through all of the same steps as the regular knives but they have some minor cosmetic blemishes. Some examples are: scratches, machine lines, mismatched bevels, and dings aling the perimiter. Since they aren't the prettiest of the GSO-4.7 batch, they are being sold for a 10% discount!"
Two spelling errors: along, and perimeter.

Oh-Oh! Now they're probably gonna get email messages asking them if their knives are made in China :D

I actually think it was correct...

"dings aling" is just a 3rd person conjugation of "ding aling"

You ding aling. I ding aling.
He dings aling.

See?

This is clearly different than "dingaling" (noun) which is what we call someone who fixates on spelling and grammar errors. Their you go. Your welcome.

;)

Wow! I lol'ed a few times at the greatness here.

Fancier, we should dig up Ellie's website thread to help with things like this. I'm sure she'd be interested in fixing things.

I guess the letter i really wanted the spotlight that day. haha

I'm really surprised to hear this. I seriously thought we'd see more preorders sent out before the Monday sales. I guess this is good news for those who were quick enough to order last week!

I'm sure they're getting a ton more pre-orders out than Monday sales. I got my shipping notice yesterday for 4/11 items, so they certainly don't appear to me to have taken a priority over any starter/pre-orders (which I understand). I would think that Guy is churing out blades as fast as he can. Ellie and Christian are packing them up. But, there's probably some time between sharpened blades and that's when the Monday sales get filled. Just a guess, but if its like Ellie said, and the Monday sales knives are already sharpened and just need built and packed, I wouldn't think it would take 3+ weeks to fill unless these (Monday sales) were secondary priorities (which again makes sense considering starter/pre-order priority).

I have no doubts the team is working like crazy........ ridiculous hours and 6 or 7 day work weeks. We just haven't seen the giant push of 4.7's like we did with the 5.1's a few months ago. All the preordered 4.7's must be going to folks who aren't all over social media like with what happened with the 30 secret steel testers. I used to think those of us spending more time here and on facebook and instagram would have been the most Internet aware to order starter knives early and then receive them early, but I don't think that is the case any more. Maybe the most hardcore fans don't have time for BF and FB because they're always out playing in the woods :D
