GSO 4.7 Factory Second

Yeah you'd totally think that would be the case, but I guess with how long starter/pre-orders were open there's a lot of other people buying. I would definitely think Monday sales would go more toward the BF, IG, FB crowd
 
Got my GSO 4.7 factory second in today. Gotta say, looks damn near flawless.

Congratulations Tricky. I like that color combo and will probably get one in a smaller GSO 2.7, if and when available. Enjoy your 4.7 :thumbup:
 
It's my favorite color combination. Here's a family portrait. I think you can see the resemblance even though it's a crappy cell phone pic.

I was fortunate enough to score a 4.7 2nd in 20CV and a necker II on the 25th, like Trickey Dickey. Still in awaiting fulfillment status as of this morning.
I suspect it's the necker that's holding up the order. I'll gladly sit here patiently and check the status a couple times a day, those neckers are well worth the wait!

Really looking forward to getting a family shot together of the 5.1, 4.7, 4.1 & NeckerII.
 
Something else that I like is it fits just right in this scout carry sheath I have for the Ratmandu. Rat has a little longer overall blade length but they have pretty much the same length of cutting edge.

Neil944, firstly let me tell you that I am planning on hating on you for scoring a Necker II :D Literally I looked only one minute after the sale had started and there were none more avail!

Secondly, I can tell you from personal experience that even if you place multiple orders, they will be processed, fulfilled and shipped individually. I don't think that the Necker II is holding
up anything and that the process will most likely be a 2-4 weeks wait.

Looking forward to the family photo.

Ha ha, yep.. that necker is what was priority #1 for me actually. I knew what options I wanted ahead of time and sat there, refreshing, until they came up. I'm sure Survive's website hosting co. loves me ;)
I've scored a couple seconds before and, you are right, it's usually in the 2-4 week timeframe for fulfillment. I was hoping that since Tricky Dicky got his relatively quickly, maybe this time it would be the same for me. No biggie though. Like the rest of the regulars on this board, I realize that I'm getting a bargain, regarding the price/quality, regardless of the wait.
 
I was able to secure a 4.7 "second" on the 25th as well and it's still listed as awaiting fulfillment. A complete guess, but perhaps it has something to do with handle finishing. I chose natural brown canvas scales so maybe those versions are further down the list.

As a side note, anyone know if the team will combine shipment? Since the 25th, shirts have been listed and I'd like one. I emailed the team but I'm sure they're busy. I don't want to pester with emails but would hate to Have another mailing when one is already on the way at some point.
 
On a past monday in early April, I had two separate orders placed on the same day. A 5.1 2nd and a necker II. They shipped out separately and almost a week apart. Don't know if that helps... I thought they would combine them to save on shipping, but that wasn't the case. Maybe one was finished earlier and they decided to get it out of the way. I know Ellie has made that comment on multiple occasions. (They don't like inventory sitting around)

My 4.7 2nd was natural brown canvas also. I'm hoping the delay is due to the new "micro-texturing" on the handles that we're getting :)
 
Ellie has said if they know they have a couple things being sent to the same person they'll try to package them, especially for international orders, but I have this feeling that at this point it's almost better for them to take on the extra shipping just to get things going out.

I went back and forth about ordering just a patch because it was such a small little thing to order by itself, but I ended up getting hooked up by a cool dude in Facebook.

Haha, that would be awesome but I'll hazard a guess and say that Guy is probably parking those on the preorder knives. As to my question above about combining shipping, Ellie took care of me in an email. I really appreciate it, Ellie! It's great to deal with an organization with this level of service.
 
Well, tried for a 4.7 2nd but looks like there was no CPM-20CV available or ghost jade handles, maybe next week......

Managed to pick one up as well with camo g10. Crossing my fingers for micro-texturing on those scales.
Either way very happy to have picked one up!
 
Tried, took a bit too long in the checkout it appeared. Said the item wasn't available to continue the order when hitting submit and that was only a couple minutes after 4pst. Hopefully better luck the next time, until than just standing by for the pre-order 4.7 :o
 
Waking up this lil sleeper ;)

Don't think that I will be seeing that 4.7 2nd which I ordered on 5/09 till June is over, since no one from the Monday 5/09 sale has informed us in here about any fulfillment notification. Ellie, if you happen to read this, my BD is around Mid July :applause:
