I was finishing up a Loveless style Drop point when I noticed a pin hole right where the finger curve of the guard meets the tang. The slabs are epoxied! I would like to fill the the hole with silver solder and blend it back out. How can I do this without trashing the handles?

Nope, any heat needed to solder will break down the epoxy unfortunately...

If the guard isn't completely finished, and you have a bit more material left on it, you might be able to move enough with punch & hammer to fill the pin hole. Try using a small punch (~1/8" dia.) with a domed face or a No. 15 foredom hammer handpiece with the punch domed & polished.

Thank's for all the help. I was able to fill it by melting little bits of stay bright with a good solder gun. I wrapped the entire knife with a cold wet rag, whether or not this helped I don't know. I tried to pick out the solder before final finish and it's in there for good. Thank's again!
