Here is my take on a survival type knife. It has all the bells and whistles. The spine of the knife is left with sharp angles so that you can strike the fire steel with the spine and not the edge. I put glow in the dark skull lanyard beads on the knife and fire steel to make them easier to find in the dark. The sheath is double stitched for toughness and features several different carry types. All the loops have snaps on them so you can strap the sheath to a backpack strap or belt or horizontally on a belt. The knife fits snug and sits deep in the sheath to make extra sure it stays put, but its easy to draw as well. The loop for the fire steel also fits nice and snug. I made the shape of the blade semi spear shape so it can be attached to a pole and used as a spear if need be. (I would only do this in an emergency because the knife can be damaged if thrown around and hits a rock) The knife is differentially hardened. I did this more for toughness then to have a hamon although its very present. The straps on the sheath were also designed to have paracord wrapped around so that its there when you need it. This package comes with everything you see, firesteel and all. I also Forge all my own steel and make my own sheaths. Thanks for looking First ill take it gets it
