Does anyone know how to contact Guardian Tactical? The website is guardiantacticalusa.com. The "Contact Us" area of the website provides a form that one can complete, which I did. I received a bounce back indicating an error...the message was not delivered. I tried sending an email a few weeks ago...no response. I called the phone number today...no one answered after many, many rings. I love the knives, but these people seem to be phantoms.

On a related note, I acquired a GT Patron the other day with titanium scales. Anyone ever heard of or seen this version before? I cannot find any information about it online or any other link to one for sale, other than the one that I already purchased.

It's not much, but here is what the domain registration info shows:

Andy Buerk
Guardian Tactical, Inc.
205 south maple street
Emporium, Pennsylvania 15834

The marketing people behind their website design might have better contact info:

* I'll send you their email, not sure if they want it posted here.

I have not seen a Patron with Titanium scales yet. There was a Helix that was released with Titanium scales and an Alabama Damascus blade that was hand ground by Reese Weiland. That particular Helix was part of their "Custom" line and commanded a price tag of around $1,000. Does the pocket clip say Custom on your Patron? I hope you will upload some pictures of the knife in question, it sounds really interesting!

As a side note, they have recently changed the name of the Patron to Deltrix. It turns out that Calavara Cutlery patented that name (or variation of it) a few months after they released the Patron, and felt that it was causing confusion with their El Patrone model. The knives are completely different, but depending on how your pronounce either I suppose it's possible that some people might have been confused....

Facebook is a good way to contact them .. I had both Helix CF and Patron CF and they are very well made at a good price if you compare them apples to apples with some of the other guys production stuff.

Thanks, I recently learned that they have changed the name of the knife. The pocket clip does not have "Custom" on it. It is the usual, except for a "TI" (obviously for "Titanium") after the serial number. Here are a few crappy pics of it to give you an idea. I'd love to find out more about the origin of this knife.

I had their cf patron and it was one of the best production knives I ever held. Top notch fit and finish, insanely smooth, just folded under its own weight yet it was one of a few knives I ever owned thst felt like a fixed blade. I put all I could into it and didn't feel any slack at all, which is pretty amazing fir a all cf knife. Im gonna be on a hunt fir a cf helix now, their knives are a bif pricey but imo, you get what you pay for and more. Their cpm 154 is a decent steel, its no m390 but its not supposed to be but it takes a very keen, hair tree topping edge and its eady to touch up and its respectable in ecge holding. I would like to see an full ti version so If you can upload some pics, it would be appreciated. Thank you.

I did, just a few minutes before you submitted your post. Scroll up. ;)

Thanks so much for sharing! I've never seen that combo before and here I thought I knew everything about them! Where did you get that one?

A manufacturer that wants their contact information kept secret and they are on Facebook? Strange.

I don't know that they want it kept secret. My only concern was that some "Contact Us" websites have a ticket system attached to any inquries to ensure they are not missed. If everyone was to start email them directly that could potentially bypass the ticketing system. I don't know if their system is like that, but a company I used to work for had a similar system.

Well, I've tried their email address (no response), their phone number (no answer), and their web submission form (bounceback). However, I received a response from Sue through Facebook. I had simply described the knife and asked about its origin, and she responded to say that she thinks I'm confusing them with the El Patrone. I responded with my pics and to say, "Ah, no, I know a GT Patron when I see one!" We'll see if GT can tell me more about their own knife!

Hi all. I appreciate all the help on this one. Guardian Tactical was able to tell me that White Mountain Knives was the original buyer of the knife and that it was made custom for them. I apparently am the first non-dealer owner of this knife, which is either one of a kind or potentially has a sibling somewhere (i.e. Sue said they made 1-2 of them). Cool!

Thanks so much for the info. That's quite an interesting one for me as a fan of the brand. How is the weight and feel in hand at 8 oz? Have you had the opportunity to compare it to one of their carbon fiber variants?

I'm sorry that I never responded to this. I tucked the knife away and forgot to answer your question(s). I actually like "heft" in a knife. As a Manix fan, I gobble up older versions of the Manix 2 with the full stainless liners. I'm less of a fan of the skeletonized liners in the newer versions.

In any case, the titanium Patron is quite hefty in the hand at 9 oz, which I like. I also have a carbon fiber Patron, which is obviously much lighter. I like the titanium because I feel like I have something in my hand! I know that the carbon fiber is quite strong and durable, but its lightness in a Guardian Tactical knife is not a big plus, only in my personal opinion. Of course, the carbon fiber certainly does look sweet in combination with their dark stonewash blades!

Thanks for the reply, I'd love to try one of the full Ti models someday, as I too enjoy a hefty knife.
