I'll say "Jack". In most cases, it's used in place of some other proper name. (But hopefully not "swayback Jack"!)

I feel I must apologise in case my guess of "Doody" is taken the wrong way.
We don't have the toilet connotation of the word so it should be understood as
"Doody -a little dude"

Right on, well that is a fun little nickname (wouldn't work well here tho). Thanks for explaining!
 
Thanks to everyone who took a stab at this, it really made my week! There were some good guesses, nicknames I have been called as an adult, but not as a child. I must say one of my fav guesses was Bradlow, if I could change my screenname to Bradlow I would (I really don't think I'm cool, but have been called "coolio").

My childhood nickname: when I was 3 or 4, my dad nicknamed me "Bomber", because he said my room was so messy it looked like a bomb had gone off in it!
