Guess my mileage***WINNER-WILL POWER***

Since I already own this knife, I feel like it would be bad form to enter. And this isn't really the type of GAW where I can participate without potentially robbing someone else. But I like the idea of this GAW a lot. Good luck to all.

To clarify, that's one submission per day. Each submission can contain up to 3 guesses. Refer to rule #2.
...
Rick, may I edit my submission later in the day, either to change a guess or add guesses (up to a total of 3 in a given submission)? Thanks.

Wow, what a cool idea for a giveaway, and for such a cool prize! Thanks for the chance!

My guesses for today:
106529
110861
118030

Man, that's a tough one, GT. I would like to say yes but if I allow contestants to do that, I would have to constantly go through all the posts from #2 on to see if anybody edited their guesses. I would have to do that every time I checked back in which is probably about 15-20 times a day. What I'm doing right now is checking each new post to see if we have a winner which is much easier for me to keep track of.

I'm afraid the answer is no, my friend but please do continue to participate.

DOH!
Great point, Rick! I didn't think through the implications of my request!
I'll probably submit 3 "guesses" tomorrow, even though I know that ONE of them is THE correct mileage; I can FEEL it! :D

Great idea for a giveaway, and I certainly wouldn't mind owning my first GEC knife.

83,426.9
I'm pretty sure a cama or decimal doesn't count as a digit.

Now if you're just going by full miles and not the partial mile what's surely on there then my guess would be
103,346

For my first guess I determined about how many miles you've traveled just to work and back each day since you've bought it then factored in things like grocery shopping, and since you work as close to your house as you do I'm sure you don't have to travel 35 miles to go shopping like I do.

It would surely have to be more though if you've done any distance traveling in it.

My post was edited not to add or change any guesses but to explain my first guess because you weren't exactly clear about full miles or partial miles which are sure to be on there.

No worries. To clarify for everyone reading this, my odometer does not have a decimal point. My trip meters do but my odometer does not so all digits in the winning number are whole numbers.

If I'm not mistaken, odometers that used to have decimals started over at zero after 99,999.9 miles because there wasn't enough room for one more digit. Since newer cars nowadays commonly get a lot more than 100,000 miles before conking out, the decimal was removed to make room for the extra digit without having to go back to zero.

Thanks for bringing that up. It's a very good point and one that hadn't even crossed my mind.

No winning guess yet folks. I have been trying to think up some more clues but everything that I've thought of so far would be almost a dead giveaway. I'll keep thinking.

I edited post 27 earlier today to add a second number.
Feel free to boot me from the GAW and open those two numbers to someone more deserving, if you want to. :)

Thanks for coming clean.:) It's absolutely my fault for not considering edits when I started this thread. Something I should have thought of but didn't. There is nobody to blame but myself.

Your post above prompted me to take a look to see if any other posts were edited to add or change guesses and it looks like one other one was.

Here's a clue for all who are reading this: There are guesses in this thread that are closer to winning than any of the guesses in edited posts.

Ok, here goes...
100,035
102,016
103,535

Cool GAW, AWESOME PRIZE! Thanks for the opp, I missed these.
I can't even keep up with my mileage, 1.5 hours for 19 miles one way in metro ATL...

That would drive me insane! Renee and I recently took a trip to northern Minnesota and we bypassed Minneapolis on the Friday before Independence Day. It must have taken us 3 hours to travel 8 miles. I was a wreck, the dog had to pee, and Renee needed some water. We couldn't get over in the right lane to exit. It was just plain crazy.
You have my deepest sympathies.

I just knew wben I logged on and saw the alert you had quoted me in this thread, I was the big winner!!
Anyhoo, I used to be under 5 miles for commute, longest was 26 miles for 3 years. My wife like to move.... Now I am looking closer to home so I can get 3 hours of my day back! I don't commute on my motorcycle anymore, too much sitting...
