Guess What the Bartender Had

So I went into the bar next door to get some change for the bus, and I started talking to the bartender. Nice lady, around my age, seemed to like to talk about the UFC and them needing to have a women's division. Anyway, as I was leaving I saw a shiny clip attached to her pocket, and recognized it as a Spyderco. I asked her "Can I see that Cricket clipped on your pocket?" It sure was a Cricket, plain edged, relatively sharp and well-used. She said the Cricket is the knife she uses almost hourly at her job and makes a great EDC play toy. She's buying a Delica after seeing mine. :thumbup:

Go in with a Millie or Manix next time in your pocket and she'll think your just happy to see her:)

That is the price we pay for buying our wives knives, but it does give us a reason to buy more knives.

I enjoy when I see other people with quality knives instead of just cheap junk.

A girl that I work with is a big Spyderco fan. I work for my county, and she is an Americorps team leader, so while we are in the same department, I actually don't see her that often. When I got my Native, I left her a message on her voicemail, and she actually swung by specifically to look at my knife before she went home!

Some (if not most or all) of you may find this gross, but it turns out she also chews, which is kind of a bonus for me since I obviously dip as well. Weirdly, she is very good looking. Most girls that chew are, you know, not good looking at all...
