Guess what this is...

It fits 9 Battle Mistresses or a pile of Busses comfortably.

When we move from this house, however, it's staying here. :p

Cobalt used to have some slices that looked even bigger in diameter. Wonder if they stayed behind back east.

BTW, I'mGatMan, you have burned up your INFI karma for the next ten years. :p

LOL. I suspect you're right, brother.

I remember when you first grabbed that thing and told the story. You, sir, are a dedicated hog.

Btw...PP sent for UPS on that stump. :D

Is it a Busse or a rat? Looks like an old-school Ratweiler to me. The red liner looks fantastic under the hand-shaped slabs. Looks like Horton's work to me.

Sorry sir!! Guyon's post beat your edit. :o

Send me your mailing address anywho!

For the record, it's Ban's work. The Ratweiler, while one of, if not my favorite 'Rat, always pestered my smaller hands near the back of the handle. He took about 1/4" of the tallest part and went after a more Euro style handle for it. Thickened the slabs, green linen, and some orange g-10 liners.

Of course, his killer convex edge to boot!!

Jeepnut22 and Guyon, who made the sheaths for your blades? Great ones by the way.

Thanks, Jason

Hmm... most in that pic are leatherman (Armoralleather) sheaths, but oddly enough, all three of my Chuddy Bear sheaths are visible on the top.

Oh man...that thing is effin' GORGEOUS!!! Now we know why we haven't heard from Ban in a while: He's been busy producing masterpieces.

That thing is a keeper, brother. Just beautiful.

Btw...how do you feel those hand-shaped slabs? I'm not really a fan of the ones on the SFNOLE. I love them on my Cultie, but on an all-arounder, I like the texturing more. Except for that SHBA. I keep pulling it out to fondle it, and it just feels FANTASTIC. I really do see why Jeremy loves the classics so much.

It really is an outstanding mod. I see (based on the other thread) that ya'll beat on it during the get together. How did it handle?

It handled great. The smoothed green linen filled the palm nicely and gave confidence when swinging it. Ban's convex edge was sick. Bit into the wood like it was warmed butter. Could sink a 1/4 of the blade height with hardly any effort.

It is sooooooooooooo a keeper.

Thats funny, I read the other thread first and actually asked if the ratweiler in question here was a custom or was it Banned.

I guess I know the answer to that question now!

That is one beautiful knife. When you get a chance please post a few more pics so I can wish it was mine.

What about the green nylon ones or Jeepnut22's grey sheath?

Thanks again.

Sweet orange liners, and nice new edge on that 'un too!

MikeyMoto is correct on the grey/green ones...

Other sheaths I have include Armoralleather, Steelnut, Rowe's Leather, Dave Brown, and of course MikeyMoto!!
