• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Guided Sharpener?

What is your budget? "inexpensive" is not the same for everyone.

You can get a Lansky kit for around $40-50 shipped from the 'zon. Understand that these fixed sharpeners are not good for knives with big curves, recurved blades or have which have rounded/tapered spines -which the guide clamp cannot get a good grip on.

You can get the Spyderco sharpener for about the same. It will need a bit more hand-eye coordination, but I think it the Spyderco Sharpmaker is a faster and more flexible system.

I'm looking the same thing. I won't give up my stone & oil, but....
I'm leaning toward the Worksharp. It has guides to use, or not.
