Guild Knives teeny tiny tomahawk

I shoulda said, ...please get a membership and do it legitimately. I've made a note of that and that's what I'll paste in next time.

If you want professionalism, though, you gotta pay for it....

Let me understand this situation.

Hanging around here for a month deciding if it was worthwhile to join a heavily trafficed Knife forums.

The owner of this forums is out of pocket to keep this place open. He owns a knife shop. (His shop is not advertised here.)

The owner charges people to buy sell and promote here and that helps to offest some of the cost, but not all.

You felt is was OK to promote here without following the rules.

Is that fair to the owner or the members who help out?

Those actions show no logic or reasonableness to me at all.

I understand that BladeForums and other forums, for that matter, have a certain protocall for advertising and such, but at the very least, the moderator(s) should have sent Guildknives a reminder of the rules via a PM. I feel that there was no need to post it as such, unless it was an ongoing problem.

Mr. GuildKnives,

A word of advice: when you post in this forum, you are on a public stage in front of your potential customers. If you behave graciously, the people will be impressed and say, "That's the kind of guy I'd like to do business with." But if you go getting your hackles all the time... well... nobody likes to deal with an ornery and argumentative person.

To bad that a thread I started showcasing a great knife makers stuff had to be hijacked like this. Seems to me it is an issue between Cougar and Guildknives. No one elses business.

On the the subject of paying for upgraded services, I tried today and my credit card was not accepted. Does the forum accept Paypal?

Knuckleduster, you, too, are advertising your website in every post, and you, too, have not gotten a membership here so you can have a sig legitimately.

Which is exactly why I have paid for a Gold Membership. I was not aware that any of this was an issue. I have been posting for months and no-one has ever made me aware, nor have I seen it anywhere else. A friendly e-mail would have suffised.
