Guilty: Duel Wielding for No Purpose

I always wear a belt knife and usually have a folder in at least one pocket,

...so YES, I Dual Wield.

Yup, I think most of us carry more than we need. As far blades likely to get used go, I have 4 (in 3 packages). Fixed blade, folder, and leatherman w/ 2 blades. Then there's the card sharp in my wallet and the altoids tin knife slipped into the bit-kit slot of my leatherman sheath (OAL on that is around 3 inches, so it makes a great "don't scare people" blade.)

Well I suppose I'm guilty as well. I always have a Boker Keycom attached to a small flashlight (Fenix E15) in a pocket, so that's knife #1. I also carry a small Leathernan tool (Squirt P4) which has a small blade, so that's #2. Those are both very small blades and either of them are probably sufficient for most of my daily cutting tasks as an urban dwelling office worker, non-hunter, non-fisherman.

I still like to carry a regular folder when I can, currently a Spyderco Delica. I suppose it's the Keycom that's the unnecessary knife in that scenario, but I find it to be very convenient to have such a small sharp blade handy no matter what else I might be carrying.

Oddly enough I've only been carrying one the last few days to work (Skyline). Well that's as far as one handers on my person go. I have my LM Squirt on a ring around my belt with my work keys, a Victorinox Classic on my car keys, LM Wave on my Gearslinger, and a Skyline fixed in the.bag. Wow that's alot, theres usually another folder in my pocket too.

Hi, my name is Joe......and I'm a knife addict.:D

Last weekend I had a Sebenza in my pocket as I drove to a party. After parking, I realized I probably should not have my Becker BK2 in the van in the middle of the city so I put it in my jacket. When I got to the party, a friend gave me back the mnandi I had left in her couch. So on the walk back to the van after the party, I was triple-wielding. Felt good.

Oh, plus the SAK on my keychain.

Quad-wielding!

Only carry one right now, but am considering carrying two because I have so many I like now. It is sometimes hard to leave one at home, so the answer is to take two, but I haven't started that yet. One thing I am not guilty of is saying "carrying two (or more) knives on their person.:D I carry them, not on some person that is mine?! Also, the "urban EDC" is not something you will catch me saying either. I have a suspicion it is a military thing? I am not military, but bet a lot of guys talk like this who are not. Anyway, whatever floats your boat (you will catch me saying that for sure!)

I've dual-wielded Spyderco Militaries once, but only because I couldn't find the one I carry often. I took another and clipped that into my right rear pocket. When I reached for my cigs, i found the other one in my jacket. Usually, having just one is fine.

If I dual carry, it is usually a Large Sebenza and a Mnandi. That way I have a small people friendly knife and a large blade to cover all situations.

I carry two or more knives with me all the time where It's legal. My Brown Kershaw Skyline is with me everyday, and I either carry my OD-2 or my Blur as my second knife. Picking between those two depends on where I'm going and what I'll be doing.

Where is it illegal to carry multiple knives?

I always have a Rift clipped RFP. Always. And I have a Salt 1 inside my LFP that I use as a money clip and so I will always have it if I end up at the coast fishing or going to the beach. Also have a LM Micra in a pocket which has a blade as well as Swisstech mini pliers. These are always with me. But I have a lot of other knives I like so if they are ever to get carried they have to ride along with these. So another folder gets clipped IWB at 1 o'clock which is usually a gray Para 2. So if I want to use a different knife I like it will get clipped somewhere like a cargo pocket.

Unfortunately it doesn't make me feel magical. I carry a lot of other stuff and it all just helps me feel prepared. I am in the shop a lot or the woods or on a boat so I cut stuff a lot. I like to keep one knife hair splitting sharp and usually don't use it except for really delicate cutting. The Rift sees most of the work. So that is five blades but I've been known to pull out more at the end of the day. Sometimes I will pick up others as the day progresses.

Carrying something on your person is a fairly common expression, haha. And no, urban EDC is shorthand for "carrying a knife in an office setting, or other city-like settings where you will likely not need a larger knife" or something similar. More of a hobbyist theme.

...And dear lord, what an epic typo for the title of this thread. It's what I get for making a post before drinking coffee in the morning.

On a different note, I'd count "feeling prepared" as a form of feeling magical.

I always have the 0300 and the bali goes inside my jacket if I am wearing one.

Every day! Sometimes the Sebenza gets replaced with a Para 2 but these two are always with me.

I carry one knife with me always. When out of the house, I carry one folder and one Glock. I don't consider my knife to be a weapon. My Glock...YES.

I do it, at work it serves a purpose as one is a loaner and one is just for me. When not at work I have to admit it's just so I have more knives to show off and eagerly explain all about whenever a friend makes the mistake of asking me about knives.

I always have at least 2 on me, Knife of the day + Squirt p4. I tend to carry an extra small folder as well, for a backup. Lately ive been sticking to the Gerber Applegate Fairbarne Mini assisted. It has a razor sharp combo edge, when folded its super small, and it has a little lock switch on it so i feel safe throwing it into my pocket and knowing it wont be able to catch on anything and fly open

I dual carry, not "duel".
Usually carry 2 knives. 1 thats more of a gentleman's folder for general tasks that won't freak out the general population. People do occasionally ask to use my knife so thats the one I lend them. And under those circumstances I have a secondary blade which is usually larger and may or not catch some attention (I try to be discreet).

I work as an HVAC-R mechanic. I carry a folding exacto (one of those gerber jobbies) and an EDC blade (Varies between a tenacious, a BHK frontier patch, or a an Izula II, depending on what mood strikes me. Thinking of grabbing a mcusta before too long. )

I use the gerber jobby to cut anything nasty, hard, or metal. Basically anything that will mess the edge on my EDC. I save my EDC for everything that I don't consider abuse.
