  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Whether your hiking, camping, boating/kayaking or just taking a leisurely nature stroll, what are some items (Becker or non Becker related items) do you feel you must have with you even if you know they may very well not be needed or used?

I have 2 things.
1. Mora Classic 2
2. Pickled sausages (min. qty 2)

Last time I went out with a friend we took some Glenlivet 12yr. It made my belly warmmmmmmmm :D

And of course, my BK2.

With my pack, there isn't much to want for. I am like Cap. Airyca though, I carry waaaay too much steel. I want to play with all of them. Choosing a favorite to bring is like choosing a favorite child to take to the zoo. They are at least no further than my car.

I always have my Wave, and flashlight on my belt. About it, I guess.

Fish Whistles
some kind of cured meat...jerky, pepperoni, smoked salmon, pemmican etc.

I have way too much gear that goes into the field that may or may not end up being used. I blame the Marine Corps for this "problem". In relation to that, I always carry an e-tool. May not always end up out of the pack, but it beats digging with your knife. That's not just true, it's topical if you're keeping up with the threads.

i carry too many shovels...

to bury the people messing up my woods :)

oh, guilt? yeah, i'm not guilty about THAT ;)

mmm, guilt. always having a around 750 ml of something tasty to drink, esp on group outings.

even if the camp is "dry". cuz you know the ones that say "dry" are not drinkers, but they smoke, snort, and do other stuff.

can't stand hypocrites like that. my lime pits are filled with them. just kidding F B I. hey! there's this old guy that needs his garden dug up ;) you know the drill.

Arnold Palmer half & half Powder stix (the kind for a water bottle) - makes water tolerable.

Well, I don't really have any guilty pleasures. But I pretty much always bring my camera :)

When I read this title I thought it was going to be lewd.
Dammit.

EDC knife, bigger knife, EDC flashlight, water, walking stick, leash, compass, cell phone (truely amazing how much coverage there is out there these days). Lots more if it's a SAR mission.

MP3, duct tape (more than 70 yrds... Just because), my camera if I remember it (not that it will get used all that much), and all my random pocket crap...

I have recently added a Cold Steel Shovel to my pack. The usefulness of a shovel if often overlooked. "Digging Stick" my ass!

Beef jerky and a 22 pistol. Don't really need either, but it's a compulsion to pack them. To me, the camera is a necessity. :)
