Gun and "Knife" show dissapointment

I have seen McKnight at the Woods & Waters show in September a couple times. Howes comes to the Birch Run show sometimes and has a good selection of ESEE. Jim Howe has a great website though and prices are pretty good.

I've heard good things about Howe, I'll have to look into some of the other shows that have been mentioned in the area. With any expo type show, the show is only as good as the vendors who come. My problem has been finding vendor lists on the websites so that I know what I'm getting into.

For now I've drained the knife budget: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=824604

Went to a local junk show (gun show) on Sat. it was horrid. Ive seen bad ones, and this was it. It was like waking up @10am on Sunday with an empty wallet, empty bottle of jack and some gal that weighs 400lbs bad. If you wanted to pay out the ass for garands or magazines it was great. Their was one table that had some handmade blades, for skining and procesing meat, they werent cheap but looked nice. One guy had an ohaus scale for sale, for $85 it was so dirty and dingy I had to wipe the dust off to see the maker. Chinese made scopes, and taiwan made blades

Thanks Jeff and yes I do almost all the Gun and Knife Shows in Indiana and some in Ohio as well. I do sell the Wonderful and Great ESEE knives. Please feel free to come to our biggest show the Indy 1500 in Indianapolis Indiana. You will see me there in the trenches selling quality knives. :D

ESEE knives ROCK :D

All of you guys who are disappointed in gun and knife shows are just in the wrong state. Around here in North/mid GA we have awesome gun and knife shows. In addition to having a great selection of firearms, we get all kinds of knife and gear sales in our shows. We have all kinds of booths for people like EM Gear. We also have a bunch of custom knifemakers from all around GA, TN, AL, AR, etc. that set up tables. You can find just about anything you want.

Plus, we get the BLADE show every year, plan on actually making it this year.

Living down here on the Gulf Coast I visit several different G & K shows from Miss. to Fl. and I have also noticed a decline in the quality/quantity of knife vendors. Used to be that each venue would include a decent vendor or two, but now just about nothing but garbage. There is the occasional Randall or (rarer still) an Emerson or William Henry, but those pieces are from a private collection. So, I await Blade each year to give me my FIX!

ESEE knives ROCK :D

For anyone in the Mid Atlantic area, there will be a selection of ESEE knives on the SharpShin' Blades tables at the gun show at the York (PA) Fairgrounds this weekend.

A "few" other knives also. :)

The GR gun and knife show is tommorrow and sunday.I have been doing the gunshow scene for over twenty five years(same 3 tables all these years),to me a lot of the stuff starts to look the same, but there are good knives to be had @ GR show. McKnight cutlery usually is there with lots of Bark River blades. Also a couple custom knife makers(OLT) and another half dozen table of blades.
I mainly have been doing the shows to find deals on guns and blades, this does happen.I have have gotten some great buys on sweet blades lately, guess its been a little luck.DONT forget about the good size knife show down near Detriot, its worth the trip.
Good Luck
