Got some new grips today to try out on the 5". Not expensive, so may try to modify for the bobtail.

And the whopping $7 Cold Steel ultra thins.

Posted this over on a revolver discussion but figured I'd post here as well. Early 1990s stainless Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 Rem Mag and an early 2000s Buck 277 Alpha Hunter with ATS-34 blade. Both have ivory polymer grips scrimshawed by my dad. I pulled the Buck's grips off a 279, sanded off the factory machine-pressed scrimshaw and let my dad have at it. I work in Alaska a lot (where I carry this pair), thus the Northwest Coast-inspired scrimshaw. Both are built like tanks!
