Just picked up this Hi-power today. It was a steal. Brand new, unfired, safe queen...for 400.

i picked up a SKS rifle a couple days ago. for the price +1400 rounds of surplus ammo it was a hard deal to pass up.the ammo was canned when Hitler was still causing problems and before my dad was born. it was fresh off the line in 1943 LOL

the rifle it's self is in great shape and has a pretty nice stock. never issued, silver bolt, chrome lined barrel, yadda yadda yadda

before anybody says anything, i know full well it's no AR/m16 or even a AK. but i don't have that time/cash to get my licence for the AR and AK's are a no go up here. so i figure the SKS is good enough to be a fun shooter and maybe cap a couple yodas if i'm lucky

took it to the range today and this is the result. not the best but not the worst.

50 yards, a alright grouping even if it is a little high and to the left

100 yards. not too bad for open sights

more range time and dinking around is in order. maybe even an el-chepo scope if it shoots well enough

Here's a few more of my favorites

i'm actually thinking about a mount like this
http://frontierfirearms.ca/index.ph...ssories/nc-star-sks-tactical-scope-mount.html

the fact that it's a Canadian store means i will not get dinged big time for parts crossing the boarder. between that and the fact i prefer the rear style scope set up, it looks like a winner to me. i know odds are there will be a bit of grinding and filing to make it fit but thats all part of the fun. might have to rig up a shell deflector too. top it off with a compact scope and see what the sks can really do

wow - you had an expensive day!

Expensive day? Those are not rentals, I own them all.;)

I've still got two submachine guns in transfer, one, a m11 thats getting the max11 goodies is on a F3 currently and the sten thats pictured is on a F4. I've also got a integrated silencer for the sten coming on a instate transfer and that little .22 silencer on a F4 at my dealer.
