Gun Porn Thread!

Hey pmbspyder - I noticed I did not answer your question about the Kimber - I was at my local redneck supply and gun shop and they had one in the case - I asked if it was for sale, they said yes and I said SOLD! (I had planned on buying one but figured on having to order and wait...)

In fact - I was there a couple of weeks ago and they have another one just like mine. I have 750 down the pipe and I still like the piece, just wish I could carry here in Shillinois.

Hey no worries, thanks for the reply! I know how you feel, I'm sitting on my shield 9 waiting for Marylandistan to join the times. Until then it's just me, my shield, and my Utah ccp!

I think I am going Utah as well. Got a chance to "fondle" a Shield last week, very nice! I think I am going with the full size M&P but may have a Shield next in the cue. 9 or 40?

Love the 1100.
I like the biner on the sheath too,cuz I don't like wearing a belt.
I'll have to give it a try.(kind of a poor mans dangler.)Thanks for the idea Todd.

I'd go 9. You get the extra round plus a bit tamer recoil. Plus, the .40 cal has mag drop problems that S&W is still trying to work out. Consequently, the 9 is pretty damn tough to get ahold of right now

From what the guys at the local shop tell me it looks like about a couple month wait on the Shield. I am going with the 9 in the full sized M&P and would do the same with the Shield. Have you had a chance to get out to the range with yours?

Yeah it took a few months of searching for me to get my paws on one. Have a few hundred rounds down range so far and I love it. Took me a while to get the accuracy down as it's my first compact but once I did I can get pretty decent groups at 15 yds (which is probably max what I would feel comfortable with in a defensive situation while carrying anyway). I really love it and can't wait to carry it more often once Maryland goes to shall issue!

The local shop has a brand new M1A sitting on display! I want one soooooo bad!!

I now have an m9 Phrobis bayonet affixed to my shotgun. I'll have to put up a recent picture...

Opening day of my first deer season tomorrow. cleaned my gun last night. i'm ready to go. but, i got a bit fidgety at lunch and decided to head to range quick.

I talked a while back about getting this rifle, but i don't think i ever did post up a pic. Tikka M695 in .270.

I was feeling pretty good after my 3 shots at 50 yards. but, you will notice my 2nd target (at 100) is all over the place. i shake like a bastard. :D

the first 4 shots were up, but i think i was jerking the trigger. the next 3 were better, though not perfect. I had to call it "good enough" though, cuz i had to head back to work. ;)

If you shake a lot use a sling to steady yourself. attend a appleseed event and they will show you how :) great program about marksmanship and heritage.
