gun show in Dallas July 26 & 27

There's one every weekend in Dallas or vicinity... We don't care about shooting, just lookin' at 'em.

Danny, is this Market Hall? I might be there if so, been saving up for some major stuff, so I haven't been tempting myself with gun shows.
 
Now that's a strong second to Market Hall, but probably not for me... but you never know.
 
I'm gonna have to pass on this one. Although I could always use a few magazines and bulk ammo I really need to spend my money elsewhere.

Gonna have to hunker down and finish up my AR-15 one of these days. Hopefully before November. :rolleyes:
 
The gun show was good. It was BIG, lots of tables. There was a display of Broomhandle mausers with stock/holsters attached. I love those old guns. I wish somebody would make some today in .40 S&W. That would be awesome. Lots of hot girls and for some reason, half a million asian people. I dont think Ive seen that many asian people at a gun show before. Lots of metal and plastic bang-bangs. I'm sure they all work well, but I like a little class, something special.
I visited a booth I know of to leer at my buddy's half Indian half Polish girlfriend, but she wasnt there. That was a letdown. She is SMOKIN HOT.

Picked up an AR15 CAR wrench, a box of Russian 308s and looked at AR15 uppers. I didnt have money for that, but I love to look.
I was happy to see the newer piston-type AR15 uppers are taking a larger share of the market. The piston idea on the AR is not new, Taiwan has used a piston version of the AR for decades(T68), but somehow it never caught on until recently. I plan on buying one.
 
If you have every taken apart the gas system of an SKS that is pretty much what everyone is copying these days. I think it is really interesting that with all the CNC and whatnot that design is coming back into vogue.

Looking at all the Sig 550 series rifles that people seem to be selling like hotcakes, Academy has them for $1600, it must be a good idea. The Swiss make quality stuff.

Just for the sake of parts I think I am going to stick with my little direct gas impingement system. Although I dont have any of those parts yet. :o

Still have to build that half.

I am interested to see what you put together.
