There was a gun show today in town. There were three big knife dealers there with hundreds of knives. Thanks to JK, I didn't have much knife money left.;)

I was looking over all the knives and found this Kabar KBD1. 1273. I have been looking for one of these for quite some time. I had seen on at Sportsman's Warehouse and really like it. I went back the next day to get it and it was gone. I have seen them online but was not sure without looking at it that it was the right one. The wife came up and told me that if I wanted that for Xmas, she would by it for me.:D. Here it is. It is as close to a drop point as Kabar makes I think.

It was a good gun show, many many good Colts and Winchesters. My brother bought a nice Colt Lawman. There was almost nobody there. Ground blizzard and 40 below chill factor kept all but the most desperate shoppers home.;) I went there because a guy I had ordered some leather from was coming over and was bringing it along. I bought a 35 lb pack of leather pieces for 70.00. I have bought from him before and was real happy with the purchase.

Nice Kabar, sir!!! Is the top grind sharpened, as well? I will have to be on the lookout for one of these now. THANKS ALOT!!!!!
 
It is almost sharp on most of the top edge. It would be awful easy to sharpen it but It may be plenty sharp to work well but not really double edge law wise. I don't think double edge knives are illegal in ND but I never really checked it out.
 
smith and wesson makes a similar knife, i have a buddy with one. great deal on the leather too. i buy 5lbs pags od scap leather for $7 or so, and thats what i make all of my sheaths from.
 
These are scraps but most of them are about 2-3 sq ft. I would call it medium weight. He sells lots of buck sinner supplies. I got a good pair of forged sheers and a big bundle of laces about 30 inches long. I am all set for a few years.:)
 
ive made 11 sheaths (so far) out of the same 5lb bag of scrap leather. id imagine you are set for a good long time.
 
Very cool Kabar. Ive never seen one, but I like it alot! I really like that type of sheath too.

There is a gun and knife show here tommarow that I am all stoked to go to. I have a few Vics Im lookin to get, and am on the hunt for a S&W model 60, 2 1/8 bbl.

I am bringing one of my evil SKS rifles to work some swapin on. I hope with the market for these right now, to hook a good trade.

It was two or three years ago that I bought the last batch from him and I still had quite a bit of black left over but no brown. I am pretty well set for guns except I need a new 357 Mag. I only have it in a rifle now. I took a H&R 357 mag rifle and had it reamed to 357 Maximum.. Now it will shoot 38 Sp, 357 Mag and 357 Max. The Max will shoot a 158 grain bullet about the same speed as the 30-30 will shoot a 150 grain with ten grains less powder.
