ok gangster time over . i am building a static phase converter and trying to find out what caps i need. every site i check says somthing diffrent. one says 25 and 50 and another showes 60 and 80. the last one seames to have done a lot of testing and analizing on a 5hp motor. but thay where testing it for a rotary converter not static. help

You'll probably need to figure out your values based on how many amps the motor draws at what voltage. The HP rating isn't going to be as useful to you because it's not a standardized measure.
