What's that cool gunmetal looking coating ive been seeing here and there called?

Looks like a dark metallic grey but isn't the hammered finish.

Heck wouldn't surprise me if it's called gunmetal lol.

It is a nice dark metallic gray with metallic flake in it.


Gunmetal is also a shade of gray. Google it. You will get a better idea of the sort of gray I am talking about.
 
If I could find a link to the picture I'd know the name of it lol. I've just been seeing it once in a while here or there and I've been in busse stuff for 5+ years and never seen this.It's something new(ish).
 
I know the coating on my bgwtf was beautiful. It was the darkest , slickest tanker grey I've seen. It is now gone but I think I still have a pic.

I'm telling you this isn't a tanker grey. I've seen tanker grey. This is way more metallic than tanker is and much darker.

Trust me guys I know tanker grey when I see it lol, unless they *dramatically* changed the formula which I admit is possible of course.

This. Perhaps you are thinking of a different maker? I don't think I have ever seen a Busse in a gunmetal gray finish.
 
They actually changed the tanker a couple of years ago. The old one was more of a flat grey. The newer almost has a glittery look to it. Maybe that's what you're noticing?
 
This may not be what you're talking about but its darker and shinier than my other tankers. Good luck with your search.

I'm not sure if it's just the lighting, but that does look a lot darker than other tanker coated blades I have seen. I really like the look of that!

That actually looks very much like it. I think that may be the ticket; it's just a change in tanker formula.

Yeah that seems to be the ticket based on the picture linked above by bullpin.

Like I said above; I know it was a busse. The new(er) tanker apparently looks very much like a gunmetal grey, you'll have to check it out sometime. It's very cool.
 
Everything I've been getting has been tanker gray. I wouldn't call it dark, but it definitely has some glitter to it. But I also don't have any old tanker. The oldest tanker I have is the BGTG.
 
The old tanker is lighter and flatter and has way less metallic flake to it. I like this new version.
