gunmetal?

I also have multiple blades in tanker from Op2wks. Maybe there has been variation in this coating over time, but all 4 of mine look the same. With pics lighting is a huge variable.

I've heard they offered an Urban Gray in the past, but iirc that one was lighter.

I don't know WHAT you're talking about. The second they moved the talon hole up to the top of the blade, it completely changed the knife. Kinda like when Superman puts his reading glasses on.
