TGR,

I recently picked up that same model and need to find a holster for it. Could you tell me if the tactical rail keeps it from fitting in a normal 1911 holster?

Awesome handgun, BTW!! I shoot more accurate with this gun than any other I have used.

Most holster makers have different models for railed and non-railed 1911s.

Here are a couple of mine.

Seecamp 32 Auto and my Bark River Micro Canadian with Kiah kydex horizontal sheath.

Saw Shok's magazines, anyone know is it ok for me to leave my spare glock magazines loaded? or should I remove and leave empty when not in use? worried they may loose their tension or whatever :( hmmmm....

Springs lose tension from being loaded and unloaded, not from storage. When I was a kid we had some M1 carbine mags that had been loaded since the Korea era and they were good to go.

yup. i store them loaded.

I keep 10-G19 and G17 mags fully loaded. 3-Kahr PM9 mags fully loaded. 1-870P fully loaded and 11-AK mags fully loaded 24/7. Never had an issue. I keep extra springs for all my firearms on hand if there ever is a problem.

When I first got into guns I worried about this as well. Now I'm old and have better things to worry about.:D

I think most of this spring tension stuff came up when dealing with milsurp magazines that have been abused for 20, 30 years of military use. That, combined with lowest bidder shoddy manufacturing, can cause feeding problems-but in the short time I've been shooting I've never had a problem with storing my magazines loaded.
