Guns are fun... and CABS are just downright cool! What's your favorite shooter?

1911. In .45, of course. Got quite a few of them, love them all.

But lately, I'm remembering just how fine a wheelgun the old, original, Royal Blue Colt Python really is. If they make a better wheelgun, I don't know what it is. Smooth, sweet, always as accurate as the shooter.

Yes. That's one fine pistol.

Indeed. My father has a beautiful blued Python. In their day, Colt used to put a fine polished blue on their pistols and revolvers like no one else.

But the action on those revolvers is so smooth I can't help but wonder where they hide the ball-bearings.

So true. I just can't miss with a Python.:)

I have an old, original model circa 1973 in flawless condition. She's really a work of art, but of course I have to shoot her, anyway.

OP - I only have two 1911's. That's it for me and pistols. With that said my dream revolver has always been a Colt Python. I want one in 357 Magnum.

My favorite:

H&K USP .45
CZ P-01 9mm
S&W .357 mag (pre-dash)
Ruger Gov't Target model Mk II w/ red dot scope

Remington 700 LTR .308 sniper rifle
Remington 870 Police magnum shotgun
the Ruger 10/22 "plinking machine"

I have been holding off on getting one of those for my 74,looks like it's still being revised..Were you a Beta ?

I don't think mine is a beta. Works well, but with the rings (1 inch) and scope (Nikon 4.5-14x40) I have, the scope is bottomed out and shoots high. Doesn't really matter to me since I can choose any mildot, the scope is set for 300y, and the red dot is on the money for the close shots, but that may be something they can address, I don't know.

The important thing to me is, the mount is as solid as a rock, and repeatable.

I'm not sure if I'm going to be hated or not for saying this though, but I love shooting my Makarov. (I epically love the fact that I can outshoot my sister with it, when she is using her 600 dollar para sub compact. And it pisses her off to no end.)

But I compete with a G22 when doing IDPA and IPSC.

(The thing that I really love though and just cant afford yet is the Colt Gold Cup. I was loaned one when I was qualifying for CCW and I want one really badly now)

Favorite handgun would be John M. Browning's 1911 in .45 cal. I have 2 nice Colt's an SCG and a CCO, both are tackdrivers.

Rifles would be a toss up between my Super Match M1A, or my M1 Garands.

I would much rather just be shot that face that Khukuri blade !!

My favorite rifle is my C. Sharps Arms 1874 Hartford chambered in 45-110. Favorite pistol would be my Freedom Arms model 83 in .454 Casull.

Yes the CABS is very cool.

My favorite shooter at the moment is my Browing Buckmark, the finish alone is amazing, but it's quite accurate, and pretty useful. Very utilitarian, much like my CABS.

Easy, favorite handgun, Browning Hi Power without question (I do need to get another :( ), followed by L Frame S&W, most "fun" handgun ... Colt Officer Model Match in .22LR I have lost count of the ammunition this has digested and it never fails to make me smile...!!!

Longarms, well my Sako AII in .308 (not much of it is Sako anymore though) is a dream to use and my Brno (CZ) Mod2 is just sweet. As for firearms I can no longer own, the L1A1 is no doubt the cream of the crop and any AR variety is always good for a giggle and frightening poodles.
