It's a .45 ACP; the trigger is perfect and it fits very well in the hand.
I used to have a Tanfoglio Combat in 9mm that fit well in the hand but had a less pleasant trigger, even after lightening it.

That grip looks perfect... if I recall correctly I have only held those in the store. I think when I was looking at them I wanted the 10mm.

Surprisingly, any clone I have owned has had a better trigger than CZ's by a lot. I do like my 75D PCR trigger the way it came, but the Jericho 941 triggers are a lot lighter and even the Force 99/Witness P has a light trigger.

The IMI Jericho 941's I have are .45 ACP, steel frames... and have a slimmer grip than my 9mm CZ's like the SP-01.

Haven't seen a Firestar in a hot minute! Heavy little beasty but shot well enough. I had a few Star PDs back in the day.

Has me thinking about those Ballester-Molinas for some reason. Lots of great pieces out there in the past. I wish I had more of them, but we had to jump through extra hoops in my state for old hand guns... my UPS guy used to drop and leave on my porch (unattended), Mausers, Mosins, SKS's, Enfields, Swiss straight pulls, thousands of rounds of ammo, etc... but pistols you had to send to a pawn shop or similar with a different class of FFL. Good thing I was mostly into long guns. I do have a real nice East German Makarov, but that's about it. No really old Beretta or Tokarevs, etc... unfortunately.

I just got that or at least it is the most recent Mineral Mountain piece I have.... I used to have a bunch that Ted Frizzell did but now just the cleaver and a older 6" blade. Ted stopped grinding at all I think and his son in law, Kyle Kidder was doing the blades now - I think that was one of Kyle's patterns and he did that one. You have to order mostly from dealers now and Kyle on Facebook. Probably not, I am hoping to add a few more MMHW again. I might pick up a Bush Puppy and small Pig Trail again. Kyle is probably making those cleavers right now, hit him up on Facebook or see if Country Knives has any to ship.

Ted used to have one called a "Lamb Splitter" as well. The Cleaver is sweet, but the cutting edge is only about 5" or so, not small but not a monster... Kyel does grind it hollow or convex, that one is convexed. It is not a wicked Winkler compact R&D, but a pair might cost about $280 rather than $1700.

Even better might be the Skate Axe they have in stock on Country Knives... at least for a winkler stand-in. This is 14" OAL and has a 6.5" blade... I thought it ugly AF at first, but shopping Winkler R&D's I am appreciating the shape more and have it in my cart, hahah... but I will probably try to order direct from kyel.

Mineral Mountain Skate Axe. Word from Kyel Kidder today is that he cannot get the size steel needs to make the Skate Axe, so buy it if I find one. I ordered one from Country Knives after talking to him. ***update*** I was confused by an emial I received from COUNTRY KNIVES sayng the order would be fufilled "when complete and would be on hold till then"... made it sound like a pre-order, but Brian from COUNTRY KNIVES emailed me today and said it is IN STOCK and the only issue is they want to charge me more shipping than their online checkout system... hahah. OK, that's fine. $5 more because the axe is very large. So looks like $205 shipped and these might be the only ones out there available. I know, Cool story bro.

Clarified with Kyel via DM that he can still make the cleaver for $160 total shipped because it is on a slightly smaller steel blank he still gets from the distributor. He would take direct orders via DM on FB. If you want the Skate Axe get it before they are gone. I got mine shipped for $200.

Sorry if this is too OT, I will post some guns when I get home, hahah. I have a Carothers Field Knife waiting on my porch.
