Guns ! Guns! Guns!

If this thread doesn't make you want to go out and buy a bunch of guns, I don't know what will.

I wanted to test the function of my ACR directly after being submerged, so I took her to a stream, and thought it made for a couple cool pictures.

One out of the water....

She sure looks like she enjoyed the freshwater bath, how did she fire after?

How do you like the XDS. Been thinking about getting one.
After carrying the little XDS for over a year now, I find it to be that almost perfect CCW pistol I have sought for so many years. Very accurate, chambered in .45 ACP, dead nuts reliable, and very concealable. I can carry it in the front pocket of my shorts, or in the Kydex paddle holster it came with. To be able to conceal a pistol in an adequate caliber, and do so in Miami in the summer time, is quite a feat.

Spyderwire, I have one of those ACRs also. I don't see many of them. I have not yet dunked mine in a stream though.

She worked like a charm. I wouldn't recommend that with a normal gas impingement system though.... Also, I cleaned out, or rather polished the inside of the chamber of it. It really didn't like the cheap ammo (which is great for "defensive" training) because of the lacquer finish on most. After the polishing, she was just fine. I've shot a few other firearms from the water (lots of fun shooting in different situations like that) and all have fared well. Of course, I haven't shot anything cheap like that..... so....... Anyway, piston systems have their advantages when built well. The vapor that came from the muzzle was cool too, should have got a picture of that.... wish someone would have been there with me to get a picture of it and I working it. Oh well. Thoughts for next time.

That just means that you'll have to take her back out and do it again. This time you'll know more of what you want to get shots of.

Very cool test. Thanks for sharing the pics. The eotech hold up as well, after the bath?

Garth

The EoTech held up great. I wasn't throwing it around or anything though, it wasn't really stressed. Under those conditions an NcStar would have probably held up, maybe... The only problem encountered during that entire thing, was when I fell half way in, it was slightly cold.

Very cool. What caliber is the desert eagle? I had a 44mag for awhile but never had a chance to shoot it before someone offered me too much money for it. Wish I would have atleast shot it once.

Garth

I wish I could find a .41 Mag Desert Eagle for decently reasonable, but damn collectors like me have made the price go up. Bastards :o
