[Gossman Knives]

I finally was able to find the old WW2 canteens and cups. Picked up two canteens and cups, plus a cover for 40 bucks. They were made in 1944. They are great for winter camping. Made my day.

The guy said they were the steel cans. US made in 1944.

You ought to be able to tell the difference between aluminum and stainless just by looking. Mine is marked Volrath [ a major restaurant sully maker ] and is magnetic .

Good snag! I bought mine 20+ years ago for 12 bucks,dated 1945 and it stays on my backpack.
