Here are some newer ones. I guess Reverse Gunstocks count too.

Nice selection right there Invoice!! Always did like that Mossy Green Carved bone! :) and the Antique Green Gunstock from the Annual Reproduction Series in 1999 with ATS-34 primary blade steel. That is a Great user knife right there!!

Here is a Brantford Cutlery Gunstock that has apparently gotten to close to a fire of some kind which as destroyed some of the jigging on the covers. :( Sure reminds me of the older pick bone.
Still a well built knife! half stops, both blades Great snap and an extended spring for the secondary.:) Don't have my Goins here at home with me so I can't relay any history on this maker........

With that Black Box small Gunstock, you get a lot of long Spear in really a compact frame. Proportions are right, not an easy thing with a small knife, all too often they can be toy-like and frustrating. Not these.

There are a lot of pleasant surprises in those Black Boxes - nice one Will!

Nice collection Invoice!

[1910 - 1930 "Warranted" "Never Dull" etched on the blade,
a trademark used by Butler Brothers.] says Goins. Cool old knife, Dave!!

This Cattaraugus budding/grafting knife is not what I normally picture when I think of a Gunstock. But this pattern is perfect for this specialty knife and of course many manufacturers built them on this frame. Hey! after all it is a Gunstock pattern!! :p;):)

These two Queen Gunstock knives have already been posted in the "Queen" thread and will probably end up in "Clarence's" thread also as they were his SFO's :) But anyway the RED really jumps on these two!! Both are flat sided which I do like on this pattern with very nice jigging.

One thing I've noticed is that the gunstock is one of those patterns that's just as likely to have a spear main as a clip main. Most patterns stick to one shape, or at least heavily favor one shape.

Nice BlackBox, Will! Well proportioned because Bill made it!!:)

The jigging on those two is nice, Dave, especially since it reaches end-to-end!
Many of those budding and grafting knives were ruined when people ground off the "spuds", and tried to sell them as gunstocks!!

They are indeed versatile patterns, Jeff. The notch or cutout makes them very forgiving for access to any blade!!

Some classy gunstocks, Steve. Treasures of this golden era!!:D

Here are a couple of my favorites. Remington and green bone. View attachment 858235 View attachment 858236 View attachment 858237
My goodness!! Those are sweet. That top knife in particular.....I hate to throw around the term grail but yea, that top one would be my grail. I go to church every Sunday and pray that Mr. Bose and Case make this pattern for the annual collaborations one of these years soon. I'd just love to have a taste of his vision for this pattern. Thanks for sharing those!

Thank you. The first one is a grail for me too. The green one is larger. OAL of 7" (4 and 1/16th closed). Here is a side by side shot.
