After faltering just a bit in my huge love of Spyderco, I'm back strong. I've bought or traded for a Military, Lil' Temp, Salsa and Gunting in the past two weeks. I also currently have the Lum Chinese passaround knife. All in all, they are impressive.
I've owned two Militaries before and they just weren't my style before. About 6 months after I sold the second one, I was wishing for it again. Now I have it and it won't be leaving me. The Gunting is a real gem. Getting this one was the first time that I had even handled one and I just love it. Now I have to get the trainer so I don't kill or maim myself or my close friends that I show the real one to.
Just today, I got a package with the Salsa and Lil' Temp. The Salsa is nice, a lot more knife than I had expected. But the surprise to me was/is the Lil' Temperance. I'm picky and normally end up modifying my knives to some degree. The LT is the closest to perfection that a knife has ever been for me, there's almost nothing I can do to make it better. And to make it really nice, I love the color of the scales. I just found a place that has them for $100, I might have to pick up another one.
The Lum Chinese is nice, but my LT covers that ground and an Almite Navigator comes out if I think people might get scared. Great knife, just not for me. I did a review of it that you can see here. Comments and criticisms are welcome.
