-16" Overall (10.5" blade with 5.5" handle").
-Live blade issued by Brigade of Gurkhas.
-Slight hollow forged blade at 20+ oz and feels alive on hand.
-Stick tang construction with brass bolster.
-Spine thickness is 8mm with tapering towards the tip.
-Comes with patent leather frog and scabbard, complete with karda and chakmak.
-Made in Dharan army base on May 1987, by local kamis (Ordep Nepal 5/87).
-Comes with a matching Gurkha Engineers parade belt with "UBIQUE" Khukuri -cross emblem, scabbard, karda and chakmak.
You could see some light batoning marks on the spine and to me this added a bit of character as a camp tool.

* MK= Military Khukuri

Pardon the tiny threads. Those were remnants from the polishing cloth.

This pic lead me to think these were once together:

-10.5-inch 7 oz. Baby Chitlangi by Dharan.
-Unusual karda and chakma have tiny brass bolsters and pommels.
-Buffalo horn handle.
-Deep fullers on blade.
-very well made scabbard with custom frog and thick brass chape.
An exquisite little mini-chit with standard engraved bolster and inlaid sword of shiva.

Everything about it speaks of quality.
Even the karda and Chakmak are made with pommels. A true representative of fine work.
Dharan is one of the 2 places in Nepal known to produce great quality of khuks so i expect nothing less from this.
Bought from Yangdu via second source.

Condition is mint. Damage @ 180usd shipped with tracking and insurance.*SOLD*

12" 11oz Sgt Khadka Yellow Dhankute Kothimoda

Most people don't know that the Sgt. Khadka got his start only making little Biltons, and these Dhankutas were as big as he went for a long time before his signature Bigboys (BC, Shamsher and etc)
Scabbard -Made out silver strips and supple yellow leather (black marks on leather are from oxidation of silver remnants). The leather has been treated with beeswax for longevity since these pics were taken.
Blade- sharp as any Sgt product always known of with wonderful texture on the buff horn handle.Hollow forged.
Sword of shiva in Sirupat-esque engraving.
Bought from H.I big collector.

Condition is mint.Letting this go for $220 shipped with insurance and tracking.
