Craig: In another thread, PipeyCain and I were bouncing an idea back and forth. Since you & Marya did such a fine job producing GS, our confidence in your video abilities is running very high.

Can you get Lalit to video some Gurkhas (retired or active) using their SN1's or Jungle Fighters in training mode? This footage would be a great addition to GS2, or even on its own...what potential!!!.

It's so exciting that I think I'll visit the woodpile with that 25" AK Panawal (or maybe I shouldn't listen to bluegrass while on the forum!)....Dan
 
There's not much training that goes on at the camp in Kathmandu. It's actually a Gurkha Transit Camp that serves as a depot for Gurkhas coming off or going on leave. Also a shipping out point for new Gurkhas.

Craig: Sure, I understand that Lalit's place isn't a training area. What I'm looking for is some footage showing how Gurkhas use their khukuris, and there doesn't seem to anything out there showing this.

I'm not real choosey about it. Retired Gurkhas or active duty Gurkhas would do just fine. But it would be good to see the real guys doing the real thing, wouldn't it? There has been lots of curiosity about this topic on the forum and no real answers, other than speculation that there is no such thing as technique. That's a little surprising to me.
 
I too would like to see "the real thing".
I do not believe it exists.
