A knife for the fisherman but I would use it to take the backstrap out of large game too.

Classic design! Pardon my ignorance, but what is WSSI Stabilized?

Sorry Homebru; I just noticed your question. WSSI (Wood Stabilizing Services Inc.) is the company that stabilizes my handle material. I send them my wood and it comes back harder than ironwood, waterproof and beautiful to finish.
