This is a Guthook Hatchet that I made in 1982 for my Uncle and when he passed I got it back.
It is made of 1/4' 440C and the head is flat ground ( tapered from top to edge0 this hatchet is also tapered from front of head to butt. The head is 3 5/8 "tall by 3 5/8"(Cuttig edge) Overall length is 9 1/2"
You will notice that the cutting edge is curved, this wasdone so that it could be held in your hand like a olong for skinning.
The guard is 416ss and the handle is Black & Red Packawood and it has a 10 oz leather belt sheath.
Price $475
Thank you for looking and I hope you like it.
