Guys and Gals that carry and use CRK's most of the time

I am getting to be all CRK's also. I do love my STRIDER SNG but usually only carry it for certain outings. I might try trading my XM-18 3.5 spanto for a umnumzaan . I do carry my benchmade 940 at work sometimes too.

The Sebenza is my favorite folder(factory or custom) by far, but I also like several other brands, custom fixed blades, and custom Slipjoints.

I'm in the same boat. There is no other folding knife I'd rather carry instead of my Sebenza's. I own some other brands but they are dust collectors :)

I have had no interest in buying other production knives for a long time. There are some that look nice or have interesting materials but I know they are not going to bump a CRK out of my rotation. The only knives I buy out side of CRKs are handmades and even that is getting to be rare these days, I seem to have really slowed down with my buying. There was a time when I had 4 or 5 orders going now I have one oustanding order and even that will get sold on when I finally get it....

I have 5 CRK users that cover all by bases for EDC and most outdoor stuff. I have a couple of hand mades that I use as well but I have just become so comfortable with CRK folders that they rule roost for sure. :)

Sorry for the rubbish pic, I'm reduced to a phone camera for now....

On the Purse and High Heel Forum they have a saying, "Happy wife, happy life!".

On the CRK Forum we have a saying "No CRK Knife, what's the point of life?......" the question is, have you made the right choice?.....:p:D

Agee with most here, the rest of my collection has pretty well laid dormant since owning CRK's, they suit my needs and expectations perfectly
I agree! Looks at the price of quality purses and shoes. If she has an issue with you buying a CRK here and there, let her leave... Be the "man of the house" and lay some rules. Then give her some love. :)
To the OP, I also only own CRK at this time in my life. They work hard and are quality. Might end up picking up a RAT II just to use when doing a dirty job or carrying in pocket while hiking.

I have nearly completely stopped buying knives other than CRK for just about a year as well. There are some customs that I will consider and would like to own in the future, but even still, I don't expect them to be up to CRK standards in at least the utility aspect. There are cooler knives out there, prettier ones, more unique ones, but it's going to take me some convincing to accept that there are "better" all around knives out there than CRK's offerings.

Too bad this thread wast up 6 months ago.....

I "decided" that I was gonna try some other knife brands and sold off my Sebenzas...

Now I've sold off all the other knives I purchased and have just gotten another small micarta sebenza!!!

Would've saved me enough $$$$ to have purchased another Sebenza!!!!

I own 7 CRKs and a number of Spydercos and BMs along with quite a few slipjoints. End of the day my large Insingo sees the most carry along with either a Vic alox Cadet or Soldier. Since I have a few other CRKs I really show no mercy to my Insingo. There is something amazing about a knife that will take a ton of cutting and dirty work but clean up like new. Having the ability to disassemble and clean is priceless.

My large insingo double lug is in my pocket 6 days a week, but if I go out on the weekend, when I go out I usually have my sage 1 in my pocket. I'm not willing to risk losing my sebbie because I got out of an uber cab and it fell out of my pocket...too sentimental! Sage 1 is great for weekend carry. Sebenza means work, so I only use it for work.

They are my only modern folders that have in my possetion now...
They check every box fit for my daily needs.
I still do have my fixed blades and my traditionals as well to throw into the mix.

I typically carry two brands - - William Henry at work and then CRK away from work. I have looked in Mnandi for work. I think I want the old nail nick and I don't see them for sale that often.

While i do EDC a CRK... during the summer work months I also carry one of my older cheaper knives (gerber, CRKT...) for stupid/bad jobs where I am cutting through hoses, fabric, screens, or fiberglass with either metal or concrete behind the material. When fishing I also carry a ZT 0770CF that is just a straight up machine on the river. It's stupid light and I love the one hand quickness of the assisted opener when needed and the blade type does work cleaning trout out. During the winter months I am mostly in dress pants so I still EDC a CRK, but when I hunt I couple the CRK with a Ruana knife and hatchet combo.

No knife I own is either a safe queen or gathers dust. They all get put to use regardless of value. I will say CRK is the only brand that I do EDC in the strictest form of the phrase. I just have other knives of other brands that perform better for certain jobs. Not saying CRK doesn't make a better version of that specific type of knife, I just either don't own it or haven't tried it.

I total understand the OP's position.

With the exception of a few knives from other manufacturers and makers it's CRK all the way for me baby.

I am pretty much the same. If CRK doesnt make it, I dont want it. I realize there are many other great makers out there, but its been CRK for me for MANY years now. I have been very happy with them and that could explain why I have so darn many. I have enough to last several lifetimes.

nyefmaker (above) made it possible for me to buy a Zaan that I could actually close. Always indebted to him for his advice and friendly nature.

I've "had" many CRK's: primarily large and small Sebbies because I just love to look at them; in particular, the wood inlaid models. So very impressed by the quality of build.
I did carry a basic slab-sided Classic large for several yrs, but sold it in a moment of stupidity. I still have a couple of as-new Sebs in the safe, along with that second Zaan that I carried for two-three years. That Zaan is a great knife...more appealing to me than the large Seb.

Regardless of the brand that I carry or not carry...in general, CRK is my favorite knife for build quality, and I have no desire to sell mine.

My basic small Insingo has been my main EDC since I received it 3 weeks ago. I love it, and notice that the blade is as much as could be fitted into the handle, meaning awesome blade to handle ratio. That said, for me it's at the smallest limit I would have for a main one-handed EDC knife. And my hands are not particularly large; I'm 5' 9" tall and weigh about 165. If my hands were any larger, it would not be easy to one-hand close it well at all.

I've got a few CRK's....
