Guys keep my son Andrew in your prayers. He was struck head on by a car

More prayers, thoughts and well wishes to you and your family. I think I can say, based on these responses, that those here, even the ones you do not know, are here for you and offer their support...

God Bless...

Sorry to hear about this Ren. This strikes a chord with me and my heart goes out to your son as well as you and your wife. I have 3 kids myself. Three years ago this summer, I was hit from behind by a semi on I-70, and my car was rolled after spinning out of control. My family was spared by the fact we landed upside down in a small bog of cattails. The only cattails for miles. I was trapped for over an hour, but by a miracle of huge magnitude, my three kids and wife managed to crawl out of a broken window and no one was seriously hurt. I pray for a positive outcome for your son. The generousity of the kind people of Indiana will never be forgotten.

Ren,

Prayers and smoke from the Cherokee Nation coming your way. Prayers for the medical personnel who are caring for your son.

I hope everything will be okay and that he will have a full recovery. I can only imagine the devastation you and your wife must be feeling right now.

My thoughts and prayers will continue to be with you and your family.

Judy

I really don't know what to say Ren, except that I'm really hoping for the best for Andrew and your family. We're here if you need anything.

When my wife passed away at 34 years of age, and left me with 2 little girls, I remember asking God for the strength to carry on. Instead he gave me challenges and the wisdom to face them. While this may not make much sense to you now, it may or will someday.

Look around you. Realize and count your little blessings, cherish the little victories, that strength you seek does lie inside you, and grows a little more as the days will pass. I've been to the edge, and made it back. I pray you will to.
Good luck!

Just talked to Mrs. G19G26 who lives nearby, and went to the hospital to see if there was anything the family needed.

She met Mrs. Ren, and found that the injuries were not life threatening, and that Ren had gone to the hotel to catch some z's.

Glad this turned out ok so far.

Andrew may get to go home tomorrow if all is well.

Thanks Barb (Mrs. G19G26) for help and scoop.

I am glad it sounds like he will be well. I have a daughter and can't imagine what it must be like. Prayers from our home as well.

Ren,

Best wishes to your son and your family.

I have been riding and racing for about 40 years and I always hits my gut when I hear that a cyclist has been struck.
