Guys, look what I just received!

Great looking knife and video! IKBS is the way to go, have a Mayo and Begg with it. Nothing opens easier ! Nice score.

This model is called the "Dao Flipper" or "Dao Folder".

If I remember correctly, Dao is chinese for knife.:thumbup:
 
P-Easy, Do you have any experience with RJ.Martin knives. I'd like to get a hold of a variable knife that he made. I hear he makes some good knives. :)

Wow, P. That's just what I need. What an impressive knife. I broke down and bought a ZT301 at Blade just to have the ultimate folder (since Busse doesn't sell one). Now I have to go get one of those. It never ends!
 
what a little beastie! how many of are now going to Burch tree's website and check out the cost on this baby! I love the rear guard of the blade that comes out the back for quick opening.. my ZT 0301 works that way..
I'd give up on a Busse folder. it aint going to happen.

It will happen. Jerry said within the next 5 years! That was last year I think.

As for cost, I think new they are like 550 or 600.

He doesn't take orders anymore though, and I parted with substantially more than original cost to get mine.

They are realllllly hard to come by. I think there are 2 in existence like mine.

Dao in Vietnamese means knife.

In Chinese, Dao is a type of broad sword, you see it a lot in old school Chinese movies, but they're meant for pure power over speed.

Not an authentic one, but you can see the resemblance with your folder.

that is an awesome blade, the video was great as well, custom knives are great, love the design and attention to detail in that knife, hard to get smoother than that, i have several custom fixed blades, gotta have a custom folder, maybe blade, hope that busse comes out with one at some point...

great taste man, congratulations!!!
