What is your gym knife, and why is useful?

I find the ZT 0392PURBLKWC to be a good gym knife...because it increases the difficulty of the exercise.
It doesn't add much weight, but it made this 40 pound dumbbell much harder to work with, because of holding it there to try and stabilize the image, then switching the mode to flash on rather than off. :D

An Emerson Gentleman Gym of course! 'Cuz sometimes you just gotta shank your way through an entire spin class to get to the elliptical, dawg... :D

my favorite knife to take the gym is the old school s30v spyderco native, its the right size and its light. also the frn scales easily slide in and out of my pocket, g10 is too rough for the slippery material my gym pants are made from.

Im not sure, that Im familiar with the concept of a dedicated 'gym knife,' (nor is it relevant in my neck of the woods), but Ill play.

Id assume that it would be a low key knife, so Id pick either my MISSION Ti MPU or Ti MBK (fencing used to be my thing though, so I suppose a Busse Gladius could be carried in the fencing bag along with a fencing blade).

The Spyderco ARK might be a good knife for that purpose where legal.

So...what do y'all cut at the gym?[emoji848]

nothing. ever. but when travelling or going someplace for a long weekend or etc, my gym bag is always with me, so I threw that small guy in there and just forget about it.

Do you have any idea how hard it can be to open bottles of water? That little bit of heat-shrink wrapping at the top can be a killer!

Edit - And the salesmen! Sometimes they just. won't. take. no. for. an. answer.

Knives in my gym bag? Sure. Carrying a knife while working out? Haven't needed to cut anything on the gym floor in 24 year's worth of weight training, exercising, etc. Anything beyond my iPod, water bottle, gloves, and towel is too much.

I almost always have a knife on me a the gym. Not because I need it, only reason being it's always with me. I leave the gun locked in a safe in my van.

I've used mine to open a can of Pringles that I leave in the Pringles can holder on the treadmill that I see dumb people put water bottles in.

Dont have much call for a knife at the gym either, I must admit, but the OP is stabman.

With a handle like that you have think in terms of stabbing something, anything all the time:D

Thank you.
I hold my knife in my teeth as I exercise.
KaBar F/U most days.

I use my knives as a gym. Carrying the tremendous weight of a fixed blade, trying to overcome the added drag of a blade coating, the staggering force needed flick open some flippers....they are all just opportunities to pump up. You hear about that stuff all the time here, and nobody every seems to use it.

When life gives you lemons, right?
