Today, I have a freshly hammered Gyuto, a kitchen favorite :D
I forged it of 5160 carbon steel.
The handle is made of stabilized wood, bone and water buffalo horn.
It is 39 cm long with a 25 cm long blade.

Great looking piece. The treatment on the end of the handle especially stands out.
Combined with the cleaver you showed the other day, I'm enjoying seeing your take on kitchen cutlery
Thanks! The handle end concept was just something I brainstormed along the way. It wasn't exactly planned ahead.
Yeah, we can say that I rarely make kitchen knives. But you are right, the cleaver made me want to explore this field a bit more :)
Btw, there is another one coming in 1-2 weeks.

By the gods! That knife is huge! I can see a shorter version of this being useful, still… a lovely knife!

Hehe! Yeah, it's a big boy :)
Btw, I could make one at any size.
