Okay, so this may be old-hat to some, but my first venture into the Pacific in a few decades involved snorkling-excursions in Hawaiian coves (three different days) with my SE Yellow Tasman clipped in my pocket.
Not a speck or a spot on the blade after air-drying and a quick wipe-down! That's what I consider corrosion resistant.
:D

I love my Salt 1. About a month ago I quit carrying my Delica4 in favor of the Salt...I can strop it on my jeans and the Salt is right back to scary sharp. It's awesome in a marine environment, too. Can't wait to use it in the Pacific Ocean this summer...

I think you'll be pleased.

I dived, beach combed and paddled (and battled dogs) with mine in the ocean all the past summer (your winter) - occasionally rinsed it down. No rust and easy to touch up to razor sharp. Becoming my most used knife.

I'm doing a 2-month bike tour next year (across oz) and I can think of no better knife to spend 8 weeks soaked in my sweat - as it will be clipped to my bike shorts the whole way.
