Does anyone have a good picture of the H&B spiked axe?.. and does anyone make any modifications like polishing the steel etc when they get a hawk.. thanks.
Scott, are you looking for pics of the medieval head or the boarding axe? Modifications? HB doesnt have the edge that I like so I take a file to it, but thats it. NW
I've got pics of both my Roger's Rangers hawk and my bearded Viking Ax ready, but can't upload them. Somebody with the right membership care to lend a hand?

The bit is 3 1/2". Spike to edge is 10 1/2". Weight is about 2 pounds. This is not a light tomahawk. Fit is great and finish is rough, like you would expect from traditional manufacture. All in all, a really good piece. I recomend H&B highly.
CJL101, thanks for the pics, I went ahead and got the same hawk. It is heavy but a nice piece for the price. I havent had a chance to throw it yet, have you?
Scott, nope, I have not yet had a chance to throw it. I have used it do demolish part of a willow tree and a redwood stump in my back yard and it did wonderfully on those.
I am looking to get another from H&B but, I will probably call him directly to set the specs. I preffer very light spike hawks for speed and mid weight hammer polled belt axes for general use. I am looking at his sm. camp axe for the latter but I need to find out if the sm. version of the the spike axe will fit the former.
