hi there.
im thinking about buying the H&K Axis Folder, Cast Handle, Drop Point, Black Blade, Combo.
does anyone have this knife?
if not any info about the axis folder would be nice.
how well do they work?
how easy is it to open and close?
are u satisfied with it?
any problems?

thanks!

Welcome to the forums. I have handled one version of this knife and have to say, it seemed to be a nice, well made folder. It was about 8" or so opened. Little bit big for me. It was also quite thick.
Maybe not for some, but was for me. It was the smoothest axis lock I ever cycled. Someone else will be along shortly.

thats right i was also going to ask how heavy they are.
im planning on this being my daily carry around with me knife.
it will be carried cliped on my pants facing inward to avoid detection, so i dont want anything TOOO bulky, though that is not my primary concern.
the knife is a 3.5 in blade i think. i was origionaly looking for a 3 inch, but i really like this knife. my boyfriends knife is a 4 inch cold steel prolight and i find that a tiny bit too long. i think 3.5 will be ok though

H&K makes a 3" blade G-10 #14210? that would be just about what your looking for. (will ckeck that #) This is the correct #. this is basicly the same knife, little less dressy, with less bulk.

hey i just found this:
http://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/aapk_blades/item_HKXXXX_BM14210SBT_Knives.html

is that what i was looking at before, just smaller?
it appears that way, but i cant find it on any other sites, which is odd.

Here's the page for all of theHK models on Benchmade's website:

You can find a good bargain on eBay every so often. Also try:

And to answer your question, yes that is the exact model but smaller. That knife is definitely on my to buy list. Have fun with it, and don't forget to tell us when you get it!

I agree with the poster who sated that the axis lock is very smooth. The example I handled was the smoothest opening knife I have ever handled. I had a Sebenza in one hand and the H&K in the other...aside from the weaker left hand...the H&K was smoother to open. Nice. I did not care for the black handle material though...

Yes the axis is the smoothest I've ever opened. I have 2 Griptilians, and I could only wish all of my knives were as smooth.
