Wow Vince, thanks man!!!
I am just floored, speechless even. :D

THANKS!

You are welcome !
Please, after you get it,post a few comments on your thoughts/observations,of this Barlow, compared to a modern produced Barlow

I was really surprised at how fine this was made.As worn as it is,it still feels "sleek"

You kidding? I would be more than happy to post up a review when it arrives. It is the least I can do. I don't have a modern Barlow to compare it to but I have other patterns. I don't have anything quite as old as this one so I am very interested in seeing how it talks.

Thanks again and give your son my regards :D

Wow. I was going to use Emily. My daughters name is Emily Evelyn, Evelyn being my mothers name. and my daughter guessed cedar. How funny is that.:D:thumbup: thanks for the chance.

That was a pretty neat contest. Thanks again for the chance at it.

Congratulations Genspenst!

Thanks to all for the congrats and especially to Vince for such a neat old knife.
I am in the middle of teaching a class this week so I haven't had much of a chance to fondle the new toy. It is the oldest folder I have here as well as the first barlow I have handled. Although well used, it has surprising snap to those springs and tons of character. Makes me wonder what the history of this particular knife might be.

Provided the weather is decent this weekend, I will snap some shots of it outdoors and write a more complete report.

Thanks again!
