H1 alternatives ?

Much as I love my Pac Salt, I'd take either iteration of the Jumpmaster, The Fishhunter or the Aqua Salt over any folder.

Eh, the Pacific Salt fits perfectly in the zippered drysuit pocket and doesn't two hands to use. Those are fine as well if you're looking for a fixed blade.

My point is, H1 is a great steel for a knife that will live in the water.

I agree with the others.
LC200N/ Z-finit
Or if you have the money the new verson of Vanax.

Both are excellent nitrogen stainless steels and are quite tough. Im still experimenting with Vanax so cant comment on it much yet. Im very familiar with LC200N / Z-Finit. Its extremely tough, nearly corrosion proof, and takes an extremely shsrp edge quite easily.

One thing that does make me wonder if the OP is serious is that I aware of no diving equipment designer or manufacturer that makes it's own dive knives. In the big picture where equipment takes priority, there is little to no incentive for such a company to get involved in making their own "dive knives". All such companies have sourced out to OEM makers who know how to make knives and slapped on their brand label.

Without knowing the company that is making the knives, where they are located, and their various equipment and capabilities it is hard to make recommendations. For example, if the manufacturer is in China or Japan the selected steels could be quite different than if they are located in the USA. And if they cut the profiles through fine blanking that is a very different scenario than through laser or waterjet. And if the knife is intended to be $100 MSRP that is very different than $500 or $1000. Broad availability can be difficult with some of these niche steels as well which can be important for both cost and for the maximum possible production size. Without more information from the OP it is difficult or impossible to recommend anything. And I'm not sure the General Knife Discussion of Bladeforums is the goto place to ask.
